Das SHSH Tool TinyUmbrella, auch Firmware Umbrella genannt, hat ein Update verpasst bekommen. Damit ist es jetzt bereit für die neue Firmware iOS 4.1 und das iPhone 4.
Das Firmware Update iOS 4.1 für das iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G und iPod Touch wird jeden Moment über iTunes ausgerollt. Wer auf seinen Jailbreak udn Unlock angewiesen ist updatet noch NICHT auf das iOS 4.1!
Die Firmware iOS 4.1 bringt ein neues Baseband auf das iPhone. Genau hier kommt TinyUmbrella ins Spiel: Tiny Umbrella sichert die für einen Downgrade nötigen SHSH Files und lenkt die Hosts auf Cydia, damit die gesavten SHSH Dateien vom Cydia Server geladen werden können. Somit sind nun auch die iPhone 4 User auf der sicheren Seite.
Hier die Änderungen von TinyUmbrella, die mit dem Update kommen:
- Baseband Protection – Updating to 4.1 using TinyUmbrella will protect your baseband from update. THIS ONLY APPLIES TO IPHONE 4!!!!! If you have a 3G or 3GS and you update to 4.1 your baseband will likely be updated.
- SHSH Retrieval from Cydia – If you don’t have your SHSH locally, TinyUmbrella will request them from Cydia on-demand; allowing the restore to continue
- Automatically point hosts to Cydia – Once you close TinyUmbrella, it points your hosts file to Cydia (for further baseband protection and update/restores without TinyUmbrella)
Und wie downgrade ich? Habe mein jailbreak erneuert, die habe auch alles in tiny umbrealla gesichert, aber ich finde keinen downgrade schalter oder sowas 😉
was bedeutet das, für leute die OS 4.02 haben?
TinyUmbrella runterladen und die SHSH Files sichern um bei einem ungewollten Update auf iOS 4.1 ohen Probleme wieder downgraden zu können.
